Acne Control Serum
Texture: Gel-like consistency that spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin.
Usage: I used this serum at night, 2-3 times a week, before applying my moisturizer.
Packaging: The product comes in a sleek, pump bottle which is super convenient because it helps you dispense just the right amount.
Claims: The serum is designed to target acne-prone skin, reduce breakouts, and improve the appearance of post-acne marks.
Key Ingredients: Contains a powerful combination of azelaic acid, salicylic acid, niacinamide, retinol, and peptides. These ingredients work together to unclog pores, reduce inflammation, even out skin tone, and promote collagen production.
Alcohol/EOs/Colors/Fragrance: The only thing that could be a concern for some people is the Tea Tree Oil. It is an anti bacterial and the smell is strong so that is what the serum smells like. But I quite enjoy the scent and do not find it irritating. If it is something you’re worried will cause irritation for you, do patch test for a while before you start using it all over your face.
My Experience: I have been using this serum for a few weeks now, and I have noticed an improvement in my skin's overall appearance. The serum has encapsulated retinol for targeted release and minimal irritations, and also Myristoyl Hexapeptide-5, which is a gentle but effective peptide that helps prevent inflammation and acne. My breakouts have reduced, and the post-acne marks being left behind are not as prominent as they used to be. The serum also helps to soothe redness.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this serum to anyone looking for an effective, acne-fighting, retinol product.
The only reason I did not give it a 5-star rating is because sometimes I find that, depending on what I have used before the serum, it can feel slightly sticky. But once I apply a moisturizer on top, that stickiness goes away.
