Packaging:
Relatively simple, made out of plastic like most sheet masks, it prominently displays the Vegan Society logo at the front so you know it's vegan and cruelty-free. The mask itself is made out of a thin cloth sheet with flaps to adjust to your face shape and comes drenched in essence. I got this in a K-Beauty store in Zurich.
Skin Profile:
Combination skin with oily T-Zone and drier U-Zone, semi-humid temperate climate (Central Europe), currently undergoing a dry spell around the mouth from starting Retinal
Texture:
The mask is delightfully gloopy and absolutely drenched in essence. I put it in my fridge per manufacturer recommendation and it felt extremely soothing and hydrating on my skin, the mask itself adhered extremely well and didn't slip up whatsoever, I left it on for 20 minutes. After application, it left a pretty tacky finish.
Pros:
• My skin absolutely drank this up and felt immediately soothed from it's current dry spell and irritation, very much a win!
• Generous amount of essence on the mask and in the package itself, the brand recommends rubbing the rest of the essence on your body.
• Pleasant, subtle fragrance. Oddly enough, the first whiff immediately made me think of... Ice Tea?
• It actually managed to completely soothe and swell down a developing cystic acne spot on my cheek. I would've taken a picture but I was so surprised by this I didn't!
• Even the next morning after use as I'm writing this I don't feel as many dry flakes from my mouth where the retinal-based flare up and flaking was the worst.
• Very, and I mean VERY, moisturizing. It has 11 (11!) different Hyaluronic acid-derived ingredients. Your skin will be borderline drowning!
• Vegan and Cruelty-Free (Vegan Society certified).
As a whole, I definitely recommend this to anyone with drier skin or looking to soothe irritation!
• This has Tea Tree Oil and Fragrance in the ingredient list. Sensitive skins, be wary.
• The essence took a very long time to absorb and left a very tacky finish. I found myself waiting 15 more minutes after peeling the mask off to let everything fully absorb and put on moisturizer.
• Somewhat pricey. It cost me 3.90 CHF, on YesStyle a single mask retails for roughly 5.40 CHF.
