This is a retinal cream, which works 11 times faster than retinol. Due to this, it can cause some irritation because of the exfoliation. The cream contains centella asiatica extract, beta-glucan, and other soothing ingredients to offset any side-effects. It is a cream with a yellow color due to the retinal. It is geared toward beginners to retinal and in my opinion is very gentle. If you have very sensitive skin, you should patch test. I can use it 3x per week without any issues, however I've used tretinoin for years. The soothing ingredients are great and if you're a beginner, I recommend starting at 2x per week and increase frequency as your skin gets used to the product. I've been using the products for a few weeks and I have no complaints. However, if you use Rx strength retinol, this will not do much for you.
