Tamanu Calming Serum
Keep calm, and feed your skin Tamanu
The past couple of weeks have been super exhausting, and the stress had taken a toll on my skin causing breakouts in random areas of my face.
But this @makeprem x @credithink Tamanu Calming Serum* has been a saviour, and came through at the right time. ππΌ
The Tamanu Calming Serum is a soothing oil serum made from 10% Tamanu Oil to calm sensitive and irritated skin, and 6 types of Hyaluronic Acid along with a Herb Complex to effectively penetrate and boost moisture in the skin.
Tamanu Oil has been known for its calming and healing properties. Studies have shown that Tamanu Oil showed cell proliferation, collagen production, and wound healing activity. It helps to improve the appearance of scars, fine lines, and inflammation over time.
This serum also contains nutrient-rich botanical extracts including Ginkgo Biloba Leaf, Green Tea Leaf, Camellia Japonica Leaf, Eruca Stiva Leaf, Wheat Sprout, Brocolli Sprout, and Lepidium Sativum Sprout for anti-aging, repairing, moisturizing, and strengthening the skinβs moisture barrier.
The texture is like a cream that spreads easily, but takes some time to absorb into the skin. Because of its texture and ingredients, I prefer to use this as the last step, and skip a moisturizer, but I only use this serum when my skin is really irritated and my skin barrier needs some extra love. This also works great as a spot treatment to calm inflamed pimples/acne. I've woken up to finding the size of my pimples reduced, and inflammation/redness gone.
The colour of the serum is yellowish green, and has a very strong herbal/musty scent, which I hated. If you want a reference, it smells exactly like the Farsali Volcanic Elixir, as both are formulated primarily with Tamanu Oil. The packaging is plastic with an air-less pump, and it retails at $20 for 50ml on Amazon.
Have y'all tried skincare products that contain Tamanu Oil? What do y'all think about it? ππΌββοΈ

I just find the warthy/herbal smell too overpowering.
