Matte Sun Stick Mugwort + Camelia
I recently tried out the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick Mugwort+Camellia PA++++ SPF50+, and I must say, it's a great addition to my sun protection routine. while it may not be my go-to for standalone protection, it works perfectly as a top-up sunscreen throughout the day.
✨One of the things that stood out to me is the easy and smooth application. The sun stick glides effortlessly onto my skin without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. Plus, the fact that I can apply it directly without using my hands makes it a hygienic option, especially when I'm on the go.
✨I also appreciate the matte formula of this sun stick. It doesn't give me that oily or shiny look that some sunscreens do, which is a huge plus. The sebum-control silica powder in the formula helps regulate oil production, giving my skin a smooth and matte finish.
✨I have sensitive eyes, and I'm happy to report that this sun stick doesn't sting or irritate them. However, I did find it a bit challenging to maneuver around my eye area and nose due to its long oval shape. But once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing.
✨The sun stick doesn't leave any white cast on my skin, which is fantastic, especially for those with darker skin tones. I can confidently apply it without worrying about looking ghostly. And with its high SPF50+ and PA++++ protection, I feel reassured that my skin is shielded from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
🩷One thing I want to mention is that Lab Muffin Beauty recently tested sun sticks and found that it takes approximately 34 layers to achieve the labeled protection. So, based on that, I prefer to use a cream or serum formula sunscreen as my primary protection and use this sun stick for reapplication every two hours.
Overall, the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick Mugwort+Camellia PA++++ SPF50+ is a reliable option for on-the-go sun protection. Its non-greasy matte formula, easy application, and high SPF and PA ratings make it a convenient choice for keeping my skin safe from the sun's harmful rays. While it may not be my standalone sunscreen, it's definitely a top-notch option for touch-ups throughout the day.

• Lab Muffin Beauty's recent testing suggests that sun sticks may require approximately 34 layers to achieve labeled protection, so it may not provide optimal standalone sun protection.
• The long oval shape of the sun stick can make it slightly challenging to maneuver around the eye area and nose. this makes me think it would be hard to apply an even layer
• While it doesn't leave a white cast, it's important to note that individual experiences may vary based on skin tone.
• The sun stick may not be the ideal choice for those who prefer a cream or serum formula sunscreen as their primary sun protection
