Pure VC Mellight Ampoule

product review positives
*I received this product for free from Picky and Dr. Ceuracle in exchange for my honest review. This formula is effective, though much more gentle compared to the Mellight Boosting Essence. This Ampoule is a bit oily, thicker in consistency, and remains a bit tacky. Most vitamin C is going to feel sticky. But a moisturizer on after will eliminate that finish. It's that this formula is richer than the really watery bubble Essence. [Star Ingredients] ✨10% pure ascorbic acid (powder in cap) and plant-derived hippophae rhamnoides water ✨tranexamic acid - inhibits melanin production ✨portulaca oleracea extract (succulent plant) - antioxidant, more omega fatty acids than fish oil ✨licorice oil - calming, anti-inflammatory ✨matricaria (blue chamomile) oil - soothing, anti-inflammatory ✨vitamin E - synergistically strengthens with vitamin C ✨idebenone - targets free radicals that damage DNA/RNA/proteins ✨glutathione - reduces melanin production, improves elasticity I got about 13-14 full droppers out of one little bottle, and there were about 22-24 drops in each glass pipette (depending on how full you can get the pipette). I used 2 drops on each cheek and 1 drop on my forehead. I have a bigass flat face. So, approximately, I can get about 59 applications out of one little bottle (the set contains 4 bottles). So, they may look small, but if you can get away with 1 drop per cheek and 1 on the forehead, you'll get even more value out of this product. [Story Time!] I have really been battling bug bites this season. Wow, has it been bad. Currently I have 6 scars from bites on my left ankle, 3 on my right thigh, 3 on my right arm, 2 on my right breast, and 5 on my left arm. Most of these bites became huge and were hot to the touch. One even pressed on my knee cap that made it hurt to bend my leg. Of course I scratched them . . . a lot . . . and that made them worse. They also blistered. 😮‍💨 💖 I mainly used the Boosting Essence on these scars, but after a week and a half I added the Ampoule on top of the Essence, which is recommended (apply the Boosting Essence then top with this Ampoule). And wow, that's a crazy powerhouse of amazing actives! Because you get 10% more vitamin C plus tranexamic acid! 💖My scars went from looking like I was being harmed, to almost completely faded. 🤔I don't think I would personally purchase this ampoule set again, just because of the texture. I have oily skin, so the oily feel isn't typically what I want in my routine. This may very well be good for Fall or Winter, so it's very nice that I can save these ampoule bottles for another time and not worry about the vitamin C oxidizing in the interim.
product review negatives
⚠️ Lavender oil, bergamot oil, rosemary leaf oil, Roman chamomile oil ⚠️ $30 USD feels a bit steep to me, just because a set of 4 Ampoule bottles costs about as much as the Boosting Essence, but is half the strength in terms of vitamin C.
