Biome Double Defense Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++
i decided to give the biome double defense sunscreen a go because i was intrigued by its claims of soothing uv-damaged skin. the idea of the cranberry bio-peptide and the special biome blend sounded like just what my skin needed. when i applied it, i was pleased with how easily it glided on and left my skin feeling supple
but there’s a major drawback for me - that smell, oh my goodness! i can't even begin to describe how awful it was. it hung around for a while, and it really put me off. and about an hour later, my eyes started acting up – they were watering and felt a bit foggy. it wasn't exactly a stinging sensation, but it wasn't pleasant either.
considering the negatives, the sunscreen did keep my skin nicely hydrated, which i appreciated. however, let's be real – i've come across better korean spfs that didn't make my eyes water or assault my nose with that terrible smell. i was hoping for better, and unfortunately, this one was a letdown. there are definitely superior options out there that i'd choose over this.
reminds me very much of the skin 1004 hylau cica sun serum. it’s very hydrating and doesn’t dry down so if you’re looking for something like that I’d say get the skin1004 over this
this smells atrociously BAD I can’t even describe the smell but it’s unpleasant and lingers slightly. I wouldn’t say it’s over powering but it’s not nice. Definitely something to do with the probiotics or fermented ingredients
Makes my eyes water, not necessarily stings but about an hour or so after applying my eyes were watering and slightly foggy.
It’s very hydrating and doesn’t dry down and could feel greasy especially for those who already have oily skin
I also would not even use this as a body sunscreen. It’s just that stanky 🤧🤧
