10% Azelaic Acid Booster

product review positives
🟢 PAULA’S CHOICE 10% AZELAIC ACID BOOSTER 🟩 🤚Claim. A 10% concentration of azelaic acid clarifies, evens skin tone, and calms sensitivity. The lightweight, fast-absorbing formula is suitable for all skin types and can be applied all over or as a spot treatment. 📦 Packaging. A little 5 mL plastic tube with replaceable cap. Allowable use period after opening (PAO) is 12 months. 🧴 Key/Notable Ingredients & Benefits. • 10% concentration of azelaic acid • Salicylic acid to smoothen skin • Brightening plant extracts like licorice to address multiple types of visible discoloration concerns from breakout-related sensitivies and environmental exposure. 💧Form & Fragrance. White cream form free of fragrance. It smells fairly like a salicylic acid. 🙋🏽 Experience. Azelaic acid product remains to be an underrated active ingredient imo. As I’m prone to post-acne marks, its slew of proven benefits are just desirable: anti-acne, fades dark spots, reducess redness, diminishes blemishes and post-acne marks, smoothens bumpy skin. The first azelaic acid product I tried did not do much for me, but here I had one from the highly regarded Paula’s Choice to try. Although a sampler size at 5 mL (it isn’t cheap) most days I had been applying this on my entire face after cleansing in the morning hoping to even out my color. In an occasion, when I felt my skin was about to spew a zit, I dabbed it onto the spot, and I must tell it did control an impending break out (thanks to the SA ingredient in the mix!). I made sure to follow it through with sunscreen for protection. I have a post-acne red mark that has yet to fade out, only my 5 mL already ran out. Longer use is necessary to fully judge its effectiveness. A rosy picture of these benefits, experts say, show around 1-3 months of consistent use and SPF protection. Always patch test before use. Paula’s Choice has a comprehensive literature about Azelaic Acid and it’s very informative. Suggest you read it: https://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/skincare-advice/ingredient-spotlight/azelaic-acid-for-skin.html 💲 Price. It can set one back $12 per 5 mL and $39 for its full size of 30 mL. (Not a sponsored post.)
