SkinStruct review for Soothe Bamboo Lotion

I had a very bad experience with this product. I did not check the ingredients list beforehand because I love the Keep Cool Soothe line and assumed it would have good ingredients. When I first applied this lotion after using the Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Toner, I intially liked the lightweight feel and intense hydration. As it dried down, I enjoyed that it wasn’t too heavy for morning use. In the evening when I went to cleanse my face, I noticed that my skin looked very comgested! All my pores looked clogged and I had a couple new pimples. There were closed comedones all over my face, especially on my chin, cheeks, and nose that were not there in the morning. I could extract them easily. I went to check the ingredients list and was shocked to see coconut oil! All the clogged pores started to make sense as coconut oil is highly comedogenic. I do not recommend this product for oily/combination skin at all. I don’t even have oily skin and had an issue; my skin type is dehydrated and leaning towards dry. If you have dry/normal skin, I also do not recommend this product unless you know for sure that you can tolerate coconut oil. Some people don’t have an issue with coconut oil, and if that’s true for you and you have sensitive skin, you may enjoy this as an AM moisturizer, however I still think dry skin would need a heavier cream as this is too lightweight.
