The Benzagel 5 Gel for Acne is a fantastic product for anyone struggling with stubborn, persistent acne. The treatment's active ingredient, benzoyl peroxide, is known for its efficacy in fighting acne-causing bacteria, reducing inflammation, and helping to unclog pores.
One of the major advantages of this product is its potency. With a 5% concentration of benzoyl peroxide, it packs a punch against severe acne. I've noticed a significant reduction in the size and redness of my acne within a few days of using this product, and I've seen a decrease in breakouts overall.
Another advantage of the Benzagel 5 Gel is its ease of application. The product is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin, without leaving an oily or sticky residue. This makes it easy to incorporate into your daily skincare routine, whether you apply it in the morning or at night.
Itโs a mid-affordable option for me as compared to other brands- I get mine from Dollarama.
While Benzagel 5 Gel is an effective acne treatment, it does have a couple of downsides. One such con is the white cast it leaves on the skin. After application, the product leaves a noticeable white residue that may be visible on your skin, especially if you have a darker skin tone. This can make it less than ideal to wear during the day, especially under makeup.
Another downside to Benzagel 5 Gel is that it can sting or burn on application. This is especially true if you have sensitive skin or if you apply the product on broken or irritated skin. While the stinging sensation usually subsides after a few minutes, it can be uncomfortable.
