Pure Retinol Correcting Facial Peel
I received this retinol peel from exuviance in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This is product is an individually packaged pad that is covered in "high strength...0.3% pure retinol". Retinol has great anti-aging properties (reduces fine lines, etc), exfoliates, and reduces the appearance of dark spots and pores. It is recommended that, because of just how powerful the peeling pads are, one be used no more then once per week; I used them for five weeks (ie, five pads) once a week at night. I would agree with all the claims!!! Although the changes are not drastic, I would say that there are definitely subtle improvements in all of the above areas of my skin!
So, while there are a few things to note about this peel (I will get to below), overall this is definitely what I would consider a fantastic peeling pad!
Now, there are a few things I should mention. First off, it has a VERY strong chemical smell. While it doesn't linger on the skin at all (thankfully), it's not pleasant while using the pad. I don't absolutely love that they're packaged individually; I understand why they are, but it's just not at all eco-friendly. It's also important to mention how strong this is - people with sensitive skin need to be VERY cautious and may not be tolerate it for very long (ie, they may need to wash it off after a bit). I personally have no issues at all, but my skin is not sensitive whatsoever (knock on wood!).
Overall, though, I STILL think they're great!
