Vitamin C Serum
Product was gifted for free by Benton Cosmetic in exchange for my honest review. (Not sure why but Picky actually deleted my review, so I’m reposting what I uploaded before.)
As I said in the video, I was really impressed by this lotion based vitamin C serum! I’m someone who has dry leaning skin, so I adore lotion based serums like this to really lock in that moisture. Especially in the winter months. I honestly could probably have gotten away with less because of how creamy of a formula this is, but my skin was able to handle it without irritation (and my skin also runs sensitive, and it can freak out easily with certain ingredients). My skin is usually overly sensitive too. This is hands down the most moisturizing vitamin C serum that I have tried.
To be honest, I prefer vitamin C serums over creams. I’ve found they work even better at treating my post acne hyperpigmentation, especially when they’re at a higher concentration like this one. I was happy to find a product that was a hydrating serum option. I’m really impressed with how well this helped speed up the healing process of my acne.
I highly recommend this to others looking for a Vitamin C option! Especially if you are acne prone or have acne scars you want to help heal up. Vitamin C can help the healing process and with scaring left behind by acne. Just be sure to balance use if you are using other actives like retinol or acids, because when they are mixed improperly, they can cause reactions in your skin. It’s all about balance.
Now if you’ve never tried Vitamin C before, don’t use as much as I did when I was applying it to my face. It does warn to use a small dot at first, and work your way up. It is a stronger formula since it is twenty percent pure asorbic acid (the other name for vitamin c, and is in the higher percentage that you can get on the market). If this is not your first vitamin C product, then you should be able to apply as much as I did! Otherwise, apply a little and work your way up, and you shouldn’t have any problems.
