Claim to fame: Aknicare Cleanser is formulated with Triclosan, Pyruvic acid and Triethyl citrate to effectively treat acne on face, chest and back. Ingredients: Triclosan is an ingredient added to many consumer products intended to reduce or prevent bacterial contamination. Pyruvic acid (CH3-CO-COOH), an alpha-keto-acid, has been recently used as a medium chemical peeling agent in subjects with inflammatory acne, moderate acne scars, greasy skin, actinic keratosis, and warts. Triethyl Citrate (TEC) is a non-phthalate cosmetic ingredient for skin care. Triethyl Citrate is a versatile cosmetic ingredient with excellent skincare properties manufactured from nature-derived agro resources. It is non-toxic, eco-friendly and bio-degradable made from 100 % renewable carbon source My thoughts: I love this product! I received samples from this brand and my skin loved it! It was gentle on skin and it wasn't irritating. People noticed that my skin was clearing up and my skin brightened. I looked at its price and it wasn't that expensive since the effects are really good. I tell you, really good. Formula-wise, it has many good effects especially if you have acne and since my face was oily 2-3 years ago, it prevented the formation of sebum on my face. It also has a nice and suble smell which is non irritating. The formulation was kind of light and runny though it wasn't as creamy as other brands of cleanser but it was effective nonetheless.
