Milky Jelly Cleanser

product review positives
Milky Jelly Cleanser What It Is: -A gentle-yet-effective creamy gel face wash for all skin types -A pH-balanced daily cleanser with five skin conditioners that won’t leave your skin irritated or feeling tight -The same gentle cleansing agents found in contact lens solution make it safe for eyes -Use it on dry skin to remove dirt and makeup, or on wet skin for a refresh Good To Know: -Soothing -Purifying -Nourishing -Noncomedogenic -Vegan -Cruelty free Ingredients Keys: -Poloxamer A strong yet mild cleansing agent used in contact lens solution. -Rose Water We replaced 1/4 of the H2O content with soothing rose water (bonus: smells great!). -Comfrey Root Extract Contains allantoin, which heals dry, stressed skin. -Aquaxyl Refills skin’s water reserves and improves its barrier to prevent dehydration. -Pro-Vitamin B5 Powerful, natural moisturizer found in mushrooms and cheese. My Thoughts: Okay. Here's the wrap- Since being obsessed with Glossier, I have done extensive research on it's products- especially the milky jelly cleanser, being that it is basically the only one of its kind. Through my personal findings, there is generally common "issues" with the cleanser that I am going to debunk. 1. The smell. I have read and heard numerous people comment on the "utmost" and "pungent" fragrance of the cleanser, but after trying it myself, it honestly was like "hmmm... alright?". I was expecting a smell to attack me as I've heard described, but there legitimately is the slightest fragrance -and the scent I will say, is somewhat of a mystery. It is nothing serious at all to me, but if your someone who is affected by scent in its entirety, then this product would not be for you. 2. The consistency. I honestly cannot think of other words to describe the feel of the cleanser besides "milky" and "jelly". I personally really love the feeling of it -I HATE super thick, lotion-like face products!. It is not jelly in the sense of being super thick and dense, more so like a gel. The unworldly smoothness of the cleanser is so refreshing and soothing. I suppose it may take some getting used to for some, but I guarantee you'll come to enjoy its lovely, unique feel :) **also, I REALLY love the fact that the cleanser is clear. I feel like is really reinforces the purity and cleanliness of the product. 3. "It does not clean/do anything". The whole thing about milky jelly is it being a super light, conditioning cleanser. I feel like the fact that it doesn't foam instills the mentality that "it isn't cleaning", but that is not true! Again, it takes getting used to, and also it just might not do all of the justice people need/expect it to. If you like to scrub off a new face each day, then this definitely isn't for you. Milky jelly provides a nice, refreshing cleanse, while giving your skin a little moisture to keep you glowing. For me, milky jelly is everything I have needed in a cleanser- simple and light. period. I'll leave you with this: remember, what works for others might not work for you! also, don't be unrealistic- you cannot go into using any product and expecting absolute perfection and/or results in 2 uses! -keep glowing :)
