product review positives
Experience 💗: I have normal, acne prone skin and I've been using this cream on and off for the past 11 months. I used it for 4 months consecutively at one point, day and night, and it'd be the only product in my routine minus sunscreen and a cleanser. I love this cream. I really wish they sold it in stores where I am because I'd go crazy with it. The tube is made of aluminum!!! I actually love this design, I never really had an aluminum skincare product before I tried this cream so its a really nice experience. One tip I have to offer though is just that sometimes it gets difficult to squeeze out the last bits of the cream so I'd recommend to invest in one of those metal tube squeezers (i think they are called squeezer keys) that they use for hair dye and toothpaste. Anyways, this cream is definitely heavy but its not oily or leaves a greasy finish and it doesn't break me out. Which is everything I want in a barrier cream. Whenever my barrier is compromised, I can use this cream and the next day my skin is back to normal. I also appreciate the big tube it comes in, and that its in a tube rather than a jar. I just feel like tubes are way more hygienic than jars. Its also unscented. Its natural scent is kind of weird though, I don't know how to describe it but I don't like it. Its not a strong scent and I never noticed it unless I willingly smelled it. Just applying it on my face wasn't enough to make me notice the scent. I'd recommend this cream to any and all skin types. The only people who I think would dislike this cream is people who are sensitive to isopropyl myristate (because it may break them out), and people who don't like heavy feeling creams. Ingredients 💗: I actually found this product by looking at the ingredient list. I wanted something with a high concentration of panthenol and I found it. Its the 2nd ingredient after water. The ingredient list is also very minimal which makes it great for sensitive and acne prone skin. It does contain isopropyl myristate which can be comedogenic for some people, but i have acne prone skin and found that it didn't break me out. Some other nice ingredients include lanolin (which also is something to keep in mind in case someone has a lanolin allergy), and pantolactone which is good for hydration. Texture 💗: i don't know how the manufacturers did it. It comes out of the tube opaque with a jelly like consistency, once rubbed into the skin it turns into a lipid rich gel cream. I mentioned 'lipid rich' because even though it looks like a gel cream, it does not feel watery at all, it feels more buttery and oily. Its definitely a unique texture. My skin definitely feels protected and moisturized with this cream. Sometimes it does have white streaks when rubbing in and doesn't absorb fully, but if you leave it for a couple of minutes then it does absorb. Finish 💗: it definitely has a slightly oily, dewy finish. It doesn't bother me. It feels heavy and oily on the skin but it doesn't look it. Amount 💗: this cream is 100g (~3.5oz) and I got it for around 15 USD. I think this is a very reasonable price for this moisturizer. I'm guessing its cheaper in the original country its manufactured in, but this price for this quantity is already a bargain for me. This is also one of the reasons I bought the moisturizer so much. The price for the amount was just hard to beat, its hard to find a quality moisturizer that's at this price and at this quantity.
product review negatives
Experience 💗: Sadly I have to buy it off of Amazon from third party sellers and I stopped recently because I've gotten weird formulations where the cream is a different texture and breaks me out, I don't know if I received fakes or not....I'm thinking of looking towards ebay to buy it because I love this cream that much. Another thing that I've experienced with this cream is that due to the aluminum packaging, if you are rough with squeezing the cream out then the packaging will tear and be sharp, and the cream will leak out of those tears. This can be remedied by just using a squeezer key though.
