The mask itself is like a clay mask and you are given an applicator to apply it with so you do not have to use your hands. After washing and toning your skin, you apply a thin layer to your face and wait 10 to 15 minutes while it dries. You will feel your face tighten while it dries. It will turn a whiter color and then you wash off and wash away all the waste from your pores. It really deep cleanses and exfoliates your pores but is gentle on skin. I liked this product. It was gentle on my senistive skin, it really did deep clean my pores and made my face softer and much cleaner.
