I honestly didn't see lightening on the dark spots. However, my skin somehow feels and looks extra clear whenever I use this. It's almost to flawless hehe, but of course not the real FLAWLESS. - People who have irritated skin can use this serum to help calm and soothe the effect. I personally don't have redness/irritation/sensitive skin so I can't say much how they can specifically help those issues. But I noticed my skin barrier is definitely a lot more better!
