Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 50
Pros:
- Affordable ($12 CAD) and accessible since it's probably found in most drugstores now.
- It did make my very dry skin feel hydrated at first.
Cons:
- Very irritating to the eyes - within 2 mins of applying it my eyes were burning and watering as if I'd just chopped 10 lbs of shallots. This carried on most of the day even after I wiped the product off and replaced with a gentler sunscreen. I'm taking a break from using this product for a few days before I try it again because the day after use my eyes still feel tight and dry from the reaction.
- Made my forehead and nose look incredibly greasy as the day wore on. Next time I use it I will dry on freshly cleaned skin instead of using moisturizer underneath.
- Smells exactly how you imagine a drugstore sunscreen to smell.
Final Verdict:
Not the worst choice you can make for a drugstore sunscreen so long as you don't have hypersensitive skin.
