SheerZinc Face Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50
PACKAGING: A decent 88 mL sized tube , Easy to squeeze and use for the 3 finger rule.
PROS:
☀Matte finish but not too drying.
☀Feels heavy on application, but dries to a light weight finish.
☀No clogged pores, even though I was layering piles of it.
☀Price per use for a mineral sunscreen is quite good (as per the 3 finger rule I follow).
☀Oxybenzone and octinoxate free - So you are not hurting the oceanic ecosystem:)
CONS:
☀Hear me out this sunscreen leaves a white cast even on the palest person , like me!! So not recommended for my melanin beauties. So yes it has a horrible white cast.
☀I don't recommend layering with other sunscreens. Even though it claims to be good for sensitive skin, I ended up getting a horrible reaction when I layered it with a tinted physical sunscreen (TiO2) because hello white cast!!
☀White residue on sweating ☹️
FINAL THOUGHTS:
This sunscreen is best for pale skin or anyone who doesn't care about the white cast. Stating that, even the pale skin women who are looking forward to buy this will have a hard time blending it in. If you are too busy, I recommend using a tinted moisturizer if you are self conscious or you can just flaunt the white cast in the comforts of your home, but please test it before you layer with another sunscreen, left me with a very bad reaction.
It does say waterproof and Sweatproof for 80 mins, but I don't recommend it for sports activities you will be dripping white coloured sweat.
Overall it has a matte but light finish, so both dry and oily people can use this. It's a good physical sunscreen because zinc oxide is broad spectrum and a better blocker of UVA than TIO2 ,minus the white cast 🙂
