Yes it dies cost a little more but to me it's worth it as the hydrating effect does last for a long time. It's great that it is refillable to. The leather casing is hard wearing. The lip balm is made with 96% natural ingredients which includes hyaluronic acid, jojoba seed and acmella oleracea flower extract. It looks black but has a sheer finish. This black one adapts to your skin tone. When I wear it my lips has a glossy look, I would say you can notice a difference in colour
