🔘 Review:
The Red Serum was the first product from Skin&Lab that I've tried. Serums are personally my favorite part of skincare since they are highly concentrated and target specific needs and concerns. The serum itself is very lightweight yet slightly viscous; I loved how it absorbed nicely into my skin without a heavy feeling. A majority of the ingredients in this serum include fruit and berry extracts, such as pomegranate, blueberry, acai, raspberry, cloudberry, and wolfberry. Wow that’s a lot of berries! These antioxidant-filled ingredients, alongside adenosine, provide an anti-aging function that protects and the skin from signs of aging caused by free radicals. The serum also contains Chinese matrimony vine (how fitting) and niacinamide to help brighten the skin. Additionally, the product would be suitable for sensitive skin since it is non-comedogenic and doesn't contain any toxic ingredients. So far, I've been loving this serum as part of my everyday night routine. My skin initially feels very soft and deeply hydrated without feeling heavy or sticky. My favorite aspect about the serum is that it makes my skin look ageless; the antioxidants in this serum brings back life to my skin with its rejuvenating properties. It helps tighten the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles while giving my skin a youthful plump. Yes, this serum made my skin brighter, the ingredients are full of antioxidants and pigmentation correcting agents, they work in conjunction to slowly but surely fade away hyperpigmentation and acne scars (you will probably start noticing results after a month). As for it making your skin 'glow', I couldn’t really tell on my skin since I always hydrate and moisturize it so this didn’t really make a difference, but judging from the ingredients, anti-oxidative cocktails do tend to make your skin 'glow'. The Red Serum is not a hydrating serum, if you have dry skin and you want a product to quench that dryness, this ain’t it. Yes, it is composed of hydrating and moisturizing ingredients here and there, but that is not its main function in any way. If you're looking for something hydrating, you’re better off with trying a mask (Honey based ones like this one or this one) As for balancing sebum production, my oily T-zone stayed oily without any noticeable change, and to balance it out I usually use a clay mask twice a week, which I stopped doing for the purpose of this review but will gladly restart now that it's complete. I can't tell you if this is going to fade away your wrinkles (it probably won't) but what I can say is that it will diminish your fine lines and the ingredients the serum is composed of are in majority antioxidants, photo protectants, and anti-inflammatory ones, all of these are anti-aging and prevent premature skin aging. The red serum won't take care of your winkle now but will take care of your future ones by working as a preventative product.
🔘 How to Use:
