Radiant Glow Organic Face Mask
This face mask smells absolutely delicious. Like rich chocolate. I appreciate that it's vegan and cruelty free, and that the brand is trying to be environmentally responsible. The jar is pretty cute, too. It's fun to use and rinses off easily.
It doesn't really do much anything for my skin. It does have glycerin, which is a humectant, and a lot of oils that can bring some smoothness. It also contains kaolin clay, which should be able to suck up some excess sebum. But the mask also contains so much oil in itself that I'm not sure if the kaolin is actually able to get to any sebum.
The mask contains coconut shell powder and cacao seed powder for physical exfoliation. The particles are not huge, but personally I'm still very careful with the mask not to press those particles into my skin. I think there are better, more gentle options out there for those looking for physical exfoliation. I think I may try this on my body.
As for the marketing of this whole brand as "natural" and claiming that "natural" is "healthier", I don't appreciate it. It's misleading and contributes to fearmongering against perfectly safe and effective ingredients and brands. Everything is a chemical, including the ingredients that Evolve uses. And "natural" is not better than synthetic.
