I know we're all familiar with it, so I can skip all of that, right? 🤭 Paired here with 1% zinc pca which has sebum-production normalizing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties! Rounding it off with some white willow bark, a potent anti-inflammatory thanks to it's high salicin content. Salicin is what salicylic acid is derived from! However, that requires enzymatic conversion and is not likely to happen on the skin. None the less, salicin in and of itself is beneficial as it brings those skin soothing, anti-inflammatory properties! Compared to their B3 Source which is more of a universal option and any skintype would get along with it, this is more of a targeted option for people with more advanced concerns. Concerns including; excessive oil production, persistent textural irregularities and if inflammation is a concern, this has several ingredients that will keep that in check! For me, I found it to be quite drying, one of the claims of the product is oil control, so I can say it works well! But as someone with combination skin, that's not really what I'm looking for. Hence, I blend it with a hydrating toner which definitely helps to counteract some of that dryness! What I do love is, it's fading those stubborn red spots lingering from previous breakouts. I can see them getting smaller and fading away and since incorporating this I haven't gotten any new trouble spots either! My red and inflammed nose has calmed down significantly as well, it's both looking and and feeling better, as it can be a bit painful! My skin is just looking and feeling good now! As for the pore minimizing claim, I haven't noticed that yet maybe with prolonged use texture and pore refinement would be more apparent! Overall, I would say, while the B3 Source is more focused on brightening, is more glow inducing and is more gentle to use. This one is better for oil control, acne-prone skin and for me really keeps inflammation down as well which I certainly appreciate so much!
