Fresh & Youthful Whitening Gel
When I first saw this, I was surprised that Vaseline would have a product featuring ginseng. I was half expecting ginseng to be listed at the end of the ingredients list at first. But to my surprise, it listed Ginseng extract and also niacinamide as the first few ingredients. It also contains these orange capsules that just melts without resistance as you apply them.
The texture is like a light watery gel. It absorbs into skin relatively quickly and does not leave any noticeable film or tacky feeling. I was surprised that it doesn't contain alcohol, because it has such a fast absorption rate and also a noticeable cooling sensation upon application. This is especially helpful for me as I bought this with the intention of hydrating + cooling down my skin after IPL (laser hair removal) sessions. My skin feels immediately soothed and not burdened by any heavy greasy sensation. There is zero transfer onto your clothes or bedsheets after applying, you can even use this in the AM with no problems.
I also like how this came in a generous volume (180ml) despite being so affordable! This squeeze tube is definitely convenient and hygienic too. I find it also rather helpful that I can see how much content is left from the transparent packaging.
This is a true gel product, which contains little to no moisturizing effect. If you can looking to moisturize cracked rough skin, this gel might be less effective than other body creams rich in oil content.
These is a noticeable fragrance that lingers after applying. I assume the fragrance was included to mask over the bitter smell of ginseng. However this fragrance doesn't quite bother me as it dissipates eventually.
This gel also contains colourants (probably from the orange capsules), but it doesn't stain your skin, neither did it irritate my skin.
