Ultrabland
đŹProduct claims :
Removes all traces of dirt and makeup , without stripping away the skinâs natural defense.
Key ingredients :
đčRose water
Almond oil
đBeeswax
đŻHoney
Fresh iris extract
Texture:
Thick , rich creamy texture that melts into the skin as you message it in.
How i used it :
As a cleanser on itâs own and removed with a wet cloth.
My personal experience :
â
This is a very moisturizing cleanser that does not emulsify and does not foam up so it definitely wont strip the skin. (My skin was left with a very oily ans sticky film on top of it after using it. )
â
It melts makeup and suncreen quite effectively.
â
the rose water helps to tone the skin
âšthe packaging is really cute
What i did not like about it :
Removing the cleanser with a wet washcloth really irritated my skin because of how rough the washcloth was and the oily residue from the cleanser that was left on my skin also broke me out. (The result was that my skin became oily and dry at the same time , skin was more inflamed and red )
The beeswax in it was so thick that i had to rub it into my skin with a lot of strength and that also irritated my sensitive skin quite a bit
It has quite a strong smell of beeswax , the rose water and fragrance in it also really dried out my skin (mainly because rosewater is an astringent and fragrance in general just makes me skin feel more sensitized )
Would i recommend this product ?
If followed up with a water-based foaming cleanser then your skin wonât be left with a oily film and it helps to buffer the stripping effect of most water-based cleansers as well so my skin felt less dry after using this with a water based cleanser as opposed to a water based cleanser on its own. If you are looking for a balmy cleanser that doesnât rinse off ( something like evelom ) this can be a cheaper option! Some people might like the oily film left behind because it really moisturizes the skin !
Would i repurchase ?
Maybe not because it didnât work for my skin, made my skin more congested .
Did it live up to itâs product claims ?
It didnât strip my skin in a sense that it doesnât foam up like traditional cleansers because it doesnât contain any emulsifiers or surfactants ( which causes the drying effect after washing your skin) but the cleanser itself is quite astringent because of the rose water . In terms of removinf makeup well yes it did but it requires some rubbing in to remove it properly because of how thick it is. I didnât like how sticky it was on my skin and itâs so hard to clean the jar because of how oily it is ( i needed to use dishwash soap) but i think itâs still quite popular because itâs like fancy cold cream and not many products in the market have something like this marketed as a cleanser. Think it would work best for dry skin types ( some people say it cleared up their acne , not sure why but if you have been using a lot of stripping cleansers this will take some time to get used to )
