My skin became flaky around the cheeks the day after the first application. There was no itchiness or irritation for me. I'm not sure if I had purging or not, but every month during my period, I get 3-4 large closed comedones that take a long time to heal. This is usually not something I have during my period. Not to mention the marks they left on my skin once they had healed. So here are the changes that this serum made to my skin: ✅Smoother and more glowing skin.  ✅ Even skin tone, especially on my forehead.  ✅ Acne that heals quickly (other than that closed comedones). ✅ There are no blackheads! And with very few sebacous filaments! ✅ Pores are less visible, as are the lines on my forehead and nasolabial folds 😍 I'm disappointed that the sour smell has forced me to discontinue use of this serum. I enjoy using this serum during my night routine because it allows me to keep the routine simple. This is a great serum for a beginner, but remember to start slowly and be patient 😉

When I started my retinol journey, I used the sandwich method to prevent dryness the last time I used Olay Retinol24 serum, which has an undetermined percentage of retinol and retinaldehyde. Then, I switched to Holo Retinol moisturiser that has 0.2% retinol content, is extremely gentle and moisturising. And these two @skintificofficial Skintific are the third Retinol products I've ever used. This is my first impression on @skintificofficial Retinol products, having only used three times in one week. Both were used in the same night routine, no sandwich method was implented and the following day I had neither dryness nor itchiness. Both products not irritate my skin even when they contain 1% encapsulated retinol. In fact, my skin was incredibly soft, moisturized & smooth when I awoke. My skin tone also appears more radiant. I noticed my pustule acne subsides faster (I also used tea tree oil to reduce the imflammation). I would suggest these 2 retinol products from Skintific if you are a beginner or want to step up your retinol game. If you've never used retinol before, start by using one product at a time once a week.

I am a sucker for Retinol – give me everything Retinol and my skin will love them. It is such a game-changing ingredient so when the brand decided to release this, I was excited. It has a very rich & dense gel-cream consistency but is still lightweight enough to not cause any pore-clogging issues, personally. Due to such consistency, it spreads on the skin like butter – beautifully creating a dewy canvas on the skin, without any tackiness or stickiness. It is scentless, so you need not worry about any potential irritants like fragrance or essential oils. What I noticed upon first application is its fairly decent hydrating and soothing effect – usually, Retinol-based products are rarely able to perform such so I am pretty impressed. While it is not revolutionary, I still appreciate it because now, I do not have to add up extra hydrating & soothing products to replenish my skin during any Retinol-routine. The resurfacing progress – due to the inclusion of Retinol – is actually pretty slow and I did give up, but I extend my testing period, and I must say I am happy! I noticed how my skin has become a lot smoother, softer, and brighter – no more uneven skin tone or rough texture. I experienced no purging from this product which means this is gentle enough – yet still effective. This cream is also super nourishing, repairing, and moisturizing which contributes a lot in ensuring the skin barrier is not compromised throughout this whole resurfacing progress. The price is justifiable with everything it has to offer, so this is indeed a holy grail!

I’m surprised with the amount of essence only 15ml, this is not the common volume of sheet mask. 🍁 Very thin mask that can easily be torn off. 🍁 Fit isn't great, however thanks to the thin mask, it adheres well. 🍁 I removed the mask after 10 minutes and rubbed my face to allow the essence to permeate. 🍁 Small bubbles appeared and vanished after a while. 🍁 There are no new pimples the next morning, but my skin is softer, smoother, plumper, and more radiant. Avoskin Miraculous Retinol Toner. Texture & Scent ✨ The texture is runny and viscous. It has a little sour fermented smell. Packaging 📦 100ml amber plastic bottle. PAO 12M. 💭💭💭 This was my first time with retinol. For a beginner, Avoskin recommends applying this toner once a week. I can only use it once because I received it late and have 10 days before the review deadline (and I have to alternate with their Retinol sheet mask). This toner was used at night. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of viscous toner. This toner left a tacky feel on my skin, yet it was hydrating and nourishing at the same time. The tackiness remained even with a gel moisturiser, but because I used it at night, it wasn't a big deal for me. The next morning, I woke up with soft and plump skin. I also saw that a few pimples had appeared. And the one that already existed was fully formed. So, I'm not sure if this is purging(?) or simply my skin having negative reaction to this toner 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'll keep using this toner and rewrite this review in 3-6 months. I'm hoping to notice improvements, especially when those fine lines start to appear 🙈 ✴️✴️✴️ Update after using it for 3 months. 🌻 The toner does not leave a tackiness on my skin like it did the first time I used it. 🌻 Although it takes time to absorb, it instantly hydrates my skin. 🌻 In the first month, I used it once a week, then twice a week in the second month. When I was in the third month, I tried 3x each week. 🌻 My skin is not drying when I use it three times a week, but I do notice a decrease in hydration. So, I've gone back to 2x each week. 🌻 Since I started using this retinol toner, my skin has been incredibly smooth and soft. 🌻 I'm not sure if I'm purging or not; I used to only have hormonal acne, but they've visited during non-menstrual times as well, and it is closed comodones now. 🌻 I've noticed that my pores are less visible and my skin is brighter. Or, at the very least, not as dull when I'm on my mensus.

Ermm, Malaysia is currently scorching hot 🥵 No, I did not keep it in the refrigerator prior to use. - The folding line left a mark on my face. - No bad reaction from the mask. - It moisturises my skin. However, because I only used a light moisturiser (one layer) and let the air conditioner on all night, I awoke with not so moisturised skin. I should have used extra layers or a sleeping mask.

There's an unidentified scent, like a chemical scent. 💭💭💭 For the first time I applied this cream, it left me with a very good impression. Very smooth and moisturising. I used it using the sandwich method, since it contains retinal and I don’t want any unwanted reactions, just in case. I have been using different retinols for a year, so there was no irritation or negative side effect when using this night cream. I used this cream every fourth night in my skin-cycling schedule. I used 3 half-pressed pumps for my face. After my first try, this cream only gave me a greasy finish that I don’t like at all. I woke up the next day with dehydrated and oily skin. Usually I will get plump skin after my retinol nights, but not this one. I don’t think this cream works well for my combination skin, probably due to the creamy and emollient texture that suits dry skin more. But I noticed that it didn’t leave the greasy feeling when I changed my moisturiser #1empty1new. Also, I stopped my skin-cycling routine and used it every night for a week with sandwich method. It feels moisturising, just like the first time I used it 🥰 And I woke up the next morning with smooth and soft skin. It makes it easy to control the amount I need for my under-eye area. Plus, its slim tube design is convenient for travel. 🌿 Since April 2023, I've been using this serum specifically for my eyes. I've applied it every other day, similar to how I use any retinol product. I observed dryness in the eye area, a common side effect of retinol, so I started layering it with Cosrx eye cream, which helped improve the situation. 🌿 Purging around the eyes due to retinol isn't common. Still, no purging around my eyes, thankfully! Maybe it's because this is an eye serum that I haven't seen any new milia either. I still continue using my Cosrx eye cream since heavy creams tend to cause milia around my eyes for me. 🌿 Initially, I only applied it to my under-eye area. As I got more comfortable with it, I started using it every night. I've been using the By Wishtrend Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream, which contains retinal, so I didn't apply it on my face. 🌿 After I finished the By Wishtrend cream, I switched to using BOJ for both my under-eye area and my face. Initially, applying it to my face made my skin dry. I used the sandwich method to tackle the dryness until my skin got accustomed to it. 🌿 At first, I didn't notice any changes or thought it might take longer to see results. Surprisingly, I only realized the improvement in the lines under my eyes after editing before and after photos! My skin texture has improved, and even the deep lines have become less noticeable.
