You are not the only one 😭 I literally have the entire post on my Instagram where I’m being sad that Kombucha Gel Cream (from the same brand) made my skin breakout! I was so disappointed because I was so excited to buy it and use it. The first two times I used it I just got slight irritation, but didn’t pay much attention to it because my skin is very sensitive. But on the third day I noticed some acne developing on my cheeks and forehead. I became concerned because I hadn’t had acne on my forehead (around temple area) for a very long time! Yet, I didn’t want to admit that it was the gel’s fault and continued using it (for two more weeks) until it was painful to touch my face! Then I stopped :((( I have seen some great reviews about both, essence and cream, but I just can’t bring myself to give it a second chance.

honestly, thank you sm for helping me figure it out once and for all! I think we tend to brush off this type of reaction to products, thinking it's probably something else that's causing it. especially when we're young. I DM'd you on insta about what happened 💕
this ingredient was even higher on the list in your cream 💔

I thought you were going to mention Fresh's line for a moment😅. I tried a mini once and it was so heavily fragranced I had to give it away. It triggered migraines and some irritation. I love other products of their but that line is a no. I wonder if there are some of the same problematic ingredients as you note in your post?

the ingredients in this are totally in the clear. I don't buy anything with fragrance, because my sensitive skin could never lol I have a hunch that it's actually the high concentration of fermented tea they use in this, as I've had similar reactions to fermented ingredients before 😔

That’s okay. We all have different skin types, & preferences. 💜 Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Could be a detox period or the kombucha is too strong for your skin.

Well I have this in my stash but i don't react to fermented products so hopefully I'm okay but now I'll pay extra attention.
