Go with the retinol because body skin is not as sensitive as the face, so don't worry too much about a bad reaction. Start slowly just to be sure but you should be able to increase the amount and frequency quickly. I used my 0.2% retinol serum mixed with cream on my body, and there was no bad reaction.

Bakuchiol is still a relatively new ingredient and thus do not have enough research and evidence to support claims that it is comparable to retinol. It might be soothing and may help with moisturising your skin, but for stretch marks and scars, there's really no guarantee.
Retinol body lotions/creams are gentle and not as irritating as retinol serums or prescription tretinoin so you can consider those instead. Tagged some below

Hi, thank you for sharing! 🧡
That’s why I couldn’t find any information! I am actually pretty new to skincare 😅
I didn’t know it was a relatively new ingredient, actually have never heard of Bakuchiol until a skincare page mentioned it, saying that it is a great alternative for Retinol 😕
Someone else mentioned that mentioning it as an alternative product is a marketing tactic 😐
Thank you for your recommendations, I’m still deciding if I should try it or the Bio-oil that it is mentioned in several comments.
Hopefully I can get one soon 😊

Instead of bakuchiol I would go for Centella since Centella has great properties to treat stretch marks and bakuchiol has way less research

If the marks are white then removing them is impossible, you can only work on them if the marks have red colour. That's one of the problem with stretch marks. Bio oil might be a good addition to your body care but I also wouldn't expect too much since it's a complex of oils full of nourishing ingredients and nothing more.
Have you ever tried dry brushing or cupping? You can do these therapies at home and they might help to improve stretch marks :)
