Dry/Sensitive
I had to look it up, because I thought Olay was owned by L'oreal. It is not, it's under the Proctor and Gamble group of brands.
Now to compare, both companies have a lot of hit and miss products. You really need to read the labels to make sure you're getting good active ingredients. but jar packaging tends to ruin sensitive creams too fast!
both I would say are usually a bit overpriced in Canada because you tend not to get enough active ingredients and mostly filler and fragrance. I still look them up on Paula's choice to see the reviews there.

personally o rank them both equally, as I really like L’Oréal serums, but prefer Olay for sunscreens

I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Both brands offer great products. I like to choose and pick from the two brands.

I have better luck with certain Olay skincare compared to Loreal but I do like Loreal dandruff shampoo, the older zinc pyrotine formula compared to piroctolamine one.
My sister is allergic to the trademark scent in most Loreal skincare.
Both are pretty much accessible everywhere since it’s backed by a giant company. I heard in mega bulk stores in the US, you get really good deals with them.
