Help for new skin problems

Hi, can you help me please? One my friend need help for her skin. Since 2/3 weeks she has pimples with redness and roughly skin on her cheeks. She thinks it was caused by stress, and I don’t know how to help her reduce it and heal her skin. She only has a cleanser and moisturizer in her skincare routine, so I don’t think it’s because of some bad combination of products 🥲. Can you suggest me some products please? ❤️❤️

You didn’t mention how her skincare routine look like, but if stress is the trigger, best to do is first have lots of rest and try to manage that stress. I had been there and it needs time. Adding an antioxidant helps, other than that is all back to basic routine. Best would be seeing a derm ❤️

It seems to me that the skin barrier is damaged. Tell him to use skin barrier care products and to stop exfoliating and using retinol until he gets better. I like these products.

Maybe clean and wash her face more carefully and exfoliate 1-2 times a week dependson how sensitive her skin is. Minimalize amount of products used. That's all I could think of.

Hormonal changes can influence your skin. for example when nearing one’s period. stress also influences hormones and impacts our eating. all these can cause pimples. if this is uncommon for her, maybe try to reduce the amount of stress. I’d look into a moisturizer with centella or something similar. perhaps exfoliating 1-2 week. Pimple patches are also good.

Only cleanser and moisturizer? A simple routine is definitely for her. I would a exfoliating serum or toner to her routine. If that is too much for her, she can use a salicylic acid cleanser or benzoyl peroxide cleanser.
