Personally, i always double cleanse and i find it very beneficial. However, if you are not wearing any makeup, then you can just use this cleanser and it should be just fine 🥰

Yeah I don’t wear makeup but I started wearing SPF and read that you should double cleanse if you wear SPF. If I don’t wear makeup, do you think the oil cleanser will clog my pores?

I use this and don't double cleanse. I use a BHA toner to help exfoliate though, and I don't wear makeup. If my skin feels extra dirty or clogged I switch to a different cleanser (with more foam)

I’ve been breaking out like crazy and it all started when I dove into the BHA/AHA products. So I’ve been taking it easy on those. I’ll have to get a foam cleanser though. Thanks!

It depends what spf are you using.
If u use chemical sunscreen, it is pretty easy to rinse off hence i dont always double cleanse.
But if i use physical sunscreen (harder to take off with 1 cleanser), i will double cleanse. Oil cleansing, and foam cleanser to wash off the oil residue. Otherwise it can possibly clog up the pores if i dont.
Coz you have dry skin type, too much cleansing can feel stripping too much. Thats why i try not to cleanse too much when I dont need to. But i make sure i get everything off and my face is clean.
If i dont use makeup or spf, i dont double cleanse coz i dont really have much oil/impurities anyway.
One time i cleanse my face too much and leave my cleanser too long on my face, my skin barrier is weaken and i got breakouts afterwards. So lesson learnt.
And also if your skin can’t handle aha bha, try to avoid them first and go back to basic :).
Honestly cleansing is kinda exfoliating for me too. And it is enough for my current age coz my skin is still effective in doing their own task in exfoliating. Our skin is smart organ.
Maybe when i am older and i need some help then i will use AHA BHA to boost the exfoliation process :)
Hope this helps!

My favorite cleanser! But yes, this is a water-based cleanser so in order to thoroughly remove any oil-soluble products like makeup or spf, you need to first use an oil cleanser, then you can follow up with the La Roche-Posay to clean your face. This is known as the "double cleanse" method. Oil cleansers can be liquids or balms.
If you're not wearing makeup or spf (which you should be during the day!) obviously you don't need to double cleanse - the La Roche-Posay would be enough on its own.
Some people don't double cleanse, but I really find it necessary to keep my pores clean, and even though I have dry skin, the double cleanse method does not leave my face feeling "stripped" or tight because 1) oil cleansers don't usually have that effect anyway, and 2) I use hydrating water-based cleansers for my second cleanse, like the La Roche-Posay, so it actually hydrates/moisturizes while cleaning away bacteria and grime.
Hope this helps!
