Salicylic Cleanser & BHA Toner

Hello. I want to know your opinions about incorporating a salicylic cleanser and a bha toner in skincare routine. I'm using a salicylic cleanser three times a week and I've noticed it helped a lot on my breakouts. It totally stopped new pimples coming out of my skin. But I also want to try a bha toner in my routine. Is it okay to use them both like after salicylic cleanser, I'll use the bha toner after or should I use them on alternate days? Like for example today, I would use the cleanser then tomorrow, will be using the toner? What are your thoughts about this? 🙂 Thanks in advance! Btw, i've tagged the product I'm currently using and the toner I'm thinking to incorporate in my routine.

I would use BHA toner in your AM routine and salicylic acid cleanser in your PM routine or just swap them as they may irritate your skin when using them together

Hmm It depends on your skin tbh If it works, it works. The good thing about exfolliants that it works in different way depending on the formula. The one in cleanser helps with oily skin and is short contact with the skin while still leave a little behind that is enough as in your case because it helps with your skin. It is also usually the more affordable salicylic acid product. The toner you listed is a 2% salicylic acid toner meant to be left on the skin I would definitely try it twice a week on days you don’t use the BHA cleanser because the worst thing can happen is your skin gets dry but in an oily skin situation, it’s a good thing. 🤣 Even Isntree reccomends you to first use two to three times a week to see how your skin reacts. For some that is enough to see effect on their skin (less congestion, less blackhead, a brighter face) while some may need more or less. The thing in exfoliants in my experience, is when your scale back the usage, your skin turns back to normal unless you’re allergic to the ingredients.

What is the percentage of SA in your cleanser? I use the toner you mentioned, and 2% SA is already an optimal % enough for exfoliation. So, I'm unsure if adding this toner to your current cleanser with SA is a good idea.

Do not mix these two together. It will make your skin irritate and dry,
