I don't necessarily bake, but I use powder to set my makeup. I put on my serum 1st, let that soak in. If my skin is extra dry, I'll use a light moisturizer. Then I put on my sunscreen, then primer. I usually only use my primer on my eyelids & nose. Then I do my concealer and/or foundation & then lastly I set everything with powder. I use Oulac for concealer, foundation & powder. It works the best for my skin & I never get cakiness or creasing. I'm 49, too, so I have wrinkles. It's just finding the right products that work for your skin. I have combo skin, but it gets dry during winter, so I gotta do extra moisturizing steps.
The Oulac powder is lightweight, matte finish & I've never had it cake up on me. If your powder is getting cakey, it could be from your skincare or concealer/foundation, too. I noticed if my skincare is too thick, it changes the way my makeup looks, so I like to make sure my skincare is absorbed completely before I start applying my makeup.
Hope this helps & sorry for the super long response.
