Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence
I was quite excited to use this product since, it's my first ever Missha product as well as my first mugwort product.
Product claims: Double fermented mugwort extract for 100 days is for sensitive skin, combination skin and irritated skin. It is claims to soothe sensitive and delicate skin and also provide moisturisation.
Texture: It's a colourless liquid with watery consistency. There is no scent as far as I can tell.
I have been using this for two weeks now, so, I would be giving my first impressions and will keep updating as and when I see results (or not š).
Some of the things which I love:
š¹ I started using this when my skin was aggravated and had large and tiny bumps all over my face (DIY mask mishap). I apply all over my face and it does soothe my skin. It gives a mild cool sensation which actually feels good.
š¹ The ingredients list is pretty simple. They have water as base and fermented mugwort as the main ingredient. So, it's pretty easy to read and easy to determine if this product is for me or not.
š¹ There are some pimples which really hurt a lot because the skin in their vicinity is aggravated and this helps to ease the pain.
š¹ The watery, lightweight texture doesn't feels heavy at all on my skin. This can be easily applied for 2-3 layers and you won't feel a thing. It gets absorbed by my skin real quick.
š¹ It does provide moisturisation as claimed, so, that's a huge plus point, especially in this changing weather because sometimes it's hot and sometimes cold. So, you're going to get moisturisation and hydration, feeling neither too oily nor too dry.
š¹ It gives a nice glow to the skin when applied. I, personally love the soft and subtle glow so, it's a big yay for me.
š¹ Because of it's texture, it can be applied as a toner (first step) or an essence (second step). Personally, I use it as an essence because I like to use either a green tea or a centella toner.
š¹ Also, this can be applied anytime whenever the skin feels dry and dehydrated in place of mist. I have been doing that too since, my skin is really aggravated.
š¹I love how it has a stopper inside when you open the cap which stops the liquid to overflow inside the cap. So, that would be a lifesaver while traveling.
Even though it soothes and cools my skin, I did not see any effect on my dark spots which, I understand takes time. That's why, I would be using this for 4-6 weeks to see if this has any effect on my dark spots and update my review.
So far, it has been good. I didn't face any irritation on my face so that's a huge yay for me, considering I have super sensitive skin.
Few things which might be of concern:
š„ Since, it's main ingredient is a fermented product, it might irritate fungal acne. My skin is not acne prone. I don't have either hormonal or fungal acne so, that's a non-issue for me. But, this might fungal acne.
Patch test is definitely recommended. š
š„ Also, the price point. It's way too expensive. In India, it costs Rs. 2750 for 150ml which is just too much for me to spend on something I am going to use on a daily basis.
I bought it during a BOGO sale in Beauty Barn. So, I would probably buy this only when it's on sale and not on MRP.
š„ This can be a bit heavy for people with extremely oily skin because of its moisturising quality. So, people with oily skin might not like this.
