π This was my first experience with chemical exfoliation and I chose this product because it is targeted towards dry skin, which is my skin type. It's also great for beginners since it has a low concentration of lactic acid. The exfoliator is supposed to target uneven skin tone, textural irregularities and dullness. I did not experience stinging or burning sensation when I used this product. I applied it 2x a week in my pm routine.
However, when I started using this product more regularly little bumps popped up all along my jaw which I have never seen before. My skin also started looking redder than usual and kind of splotchy (my friends even pointed out how bad my skin looked π)β¦ I thought that I might have introduced the product into my routine too quickly so I stopped using it for a while and focused on repairing my skin barrier until the bumps disappeared. I gave it a shot again recently but even though I only applied it once the same bumps appeared on my skin the next day AGAIN, so I immediately stopped using it. I really wanted to like this product but I guess it just goes to show that not every product will work for you and that's ok!
