Acne Blemish Control Treatment Serum
✨Derma E Acne Treatment Serum for Blemish Control✨
🔷Ingredients & Claims🔷
🔹Salicylic Acid - BHA to clear clogged pores and exfoliation
🔹Tea Tree - antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory acne fighter
🔹Aloe Vera - soothing, moisturizing, reduces inflammation with blemishes
🔷Experience🔷
I received this product from @dermae and @socialnature for free in exchange for my honest review. I don't have all over blemishes but I am prone to some hormonal acne and a few spots on a monthly basis. This product arrived just in time as I was experiencing a breakout along my jawline and chin.
The texture on this serum is really lovely, a light gel-like consistency. Keep in mind that this does take a little while to fully dry down (I used it with a pimple patch so I needed to wait for it to dry), about 10 minutes but doesn't leave the skin tacky or sticky at all. It has a slightly tingling effect which I typically experience with tea tree but I didn't find it overly drying when paired with a moisturizer.
It's recommended to use this in a thin layer up to three times a day but to start off slow. I did experience some peeling so I used it once a day in my PM routine. I was really impressed with how soothing it actually is -- this product is full of aloe vera, willow bark extract, lavender and chamomile which really helped to calm down what was otherwise some painful and uncomfortable acne. I noticed that using this with a pimple patch on top while I slept really helped to bring the largest pimple down substantially and it was completely flat within a few days, even with just one application per day.
🔷Recommended?🔷
I would recommend this to anyone looking for an acne fighter, especially if you want something cruelty-free and vegan. This is dermatologist recommended in addition to being Voluntesting recommended, lol 😌
My only negative is the way it's dispensed. You have to shake the bottle well and I don't know if it's just a fluke for me but when I use the pump after shaking, it shoots out and lands farther than anticipated, usually getting on my counter. I would love to see this in a typical serum dropper bottle.
