Sometimes I buy skincare with my eyes, and Belif The True Tincture series is one of the examples. I bought Belif The True Tincture Mask - Chamomile thanks to another blogger. ABOUT THE BRAND Belif is a South Korean skincare brand. Belif belongs to LG Household & Health Care, but the formulas are based on Napier's herbal legacy. The brand was founded in 2010, and it mixes herbs and technology. According to the brand, Belif formulas are free from synthetic dyes and fragrances, synthetic preservatives, parabens and sulfates. You won't find animal ingredients and mineral oil in Belif formulas. The brand has a few herbs which you can find in their formulas like Calendula, Licorice, Nettle, Raspberry and more. The products are based on the so-called "Napier's formulas", there are 7 different formulas based on different herbs, each formula suits a different series and skin problem. What's cool about belif is the information on the number of main ingredients on the bottle - something that I didn't catch up on at first. PACKAGING Unfortunately, Belif The True Tincture Mask comes in a paper box and inside you can find a standard plastic jar. I was expecting a glass solution to fit essence's aesthetic, but sometimes plastic is more eco than glass (it's not my opinion, that's what some specialists says since preparing glass for another use = lots of CO2). SCENT & TEXTURE The most amazing thing about Belif The True Tincture Mask is the texture - you can see chamomile petals and tiny bits of herbs in this texture. It's a gel-like texture rich in natural ingredients. The scent is herbal, you can smell chamomile in this mask. HOW DOES IT WORK? It was on sale at Sephora, and I have to admit - I fell in love. The mask is based on a patented Chamomile Tincture. This mask is recommended for dry, sensitive and normal skin types. I saw an adult with normal skin type only once in my life - it's my uni colleague, and it was surprising to see someone with neither dry nor oily skin. Her skin was balanced. My skin is a combo, even more, oily than a combo. Does Belif The True Tincture Mask - Chamomile work for oily skin? Yes, it does! For me, Belif The True Tincture Mask - Chamomile is mostly a calming mask that should work for all skin types. It's not like oily skin can't be dry. Every time I go back from uni my skin feels super dry because of the products we use - my skin is not a fan of brands we use at university. The gel texture feels very relaxing, during the summer it can lower the temperature of your skin. The texture is rich in herbal parts - mostly chamomile. Not everyone will enjoy this scent, but for me, it's a calming mask for both - mind and skin.
